Every Mind Matters – to Charlie Waller and other partner charities
October 12 2020
A survey by Public Health England, which launched the initiative, found that over half of parents say that their children’s wellbeing has been one of their biggest worries during COVID-19.
Every Mind Matters provides NHS-approved advice for parents and carers on how to communicate with young people and support their mental health. At the heart of the campaign is ‘My Mind Plan’ which enables young people to access tailored advice on how to improve their mental wellbeing.
The initiative addresses the issues young people are currently facing including starting new schools or colleges and building relationships with friends again. It has been endorsed by a host of well-known parents including, Davina McCall, Marvin Humes, Katie Piper, Sean Fletcher and Edith Bowman.
Clare Stafford, Charlie Waller CEO, says:
The impact of the last six months has been felt by everyone, including our children and young people. Every Mind Matters has put a welcome spotlight on the mental wellbeing of young people and provided invaluable advice for parents. It harnesses the vital information and resources that Charlie Waller and other mental health charities provide. At Charlie Waller our work with parents and carers continues apace as we all adjust and adapt to new ways of living and working.
Every Mind Matters shows parents and carers the steps they can take to look after their children’s mental wellbeing
