Since then it has become a destination for collectors of Modern British and Contemporary paintings, prints, sculpture and ceramics. In 2021 the gallery moved to Rope House, a former rope merchant’s workshop and home. The gallery has the feel of an informal townhouse with artworks presented in furnished interiors.

Rope Yard, the private cobbled courtyard behind the gallery includes Rope Studio, a converted barn which provides additional exhibition space.
